Public notes from the Plain Money Notes build and milestone history.
This is the public release history for Plain Money Notes.
v7.11.0 · Melissa Vale saves for tomorrow without skipping today
Jack Buffet introduces Melissa Vale, her Joyful Builder portrait and profile, and a first article that saves for a future home without putting every good experience on hold.
v7.10.0 · BOOM. Analytics is operational.
Jordan Buffet takes the release after Cloudflare records the site’s first visit, three page views, and green performance data; Morpheus assists with the privacy-reviewed receipt, release package, and production gate.
v7.9.0 · Dave Vale automates the long game
Introduced Lori and Paul Vale’s fictional grown son, published his 401(k) automation meeting and first homepage Post, and turned the newer cast into a properly connected editorial neighborhood.
v7.8.1 · Your boy shipped
Published Matt McNick’s exact firepit line as the newest homepage Post and gave the physical Return-key ghost release a permanent URL.
v7.8.0 · Matt McNick beats the spread
Added firepit guest Matt McNick as a real human contributor and published a Bitcoin-arbitrage guide that makes every visible spread survive fees, slippage, transfers, custody, and tax before calling it profit.
v7.7.0 · Audrey raises the incline
Published Audrey Buffet’s steamy, safety-minded manifesto for Gym Sport treadmills, incline walking, better boundaries, and getting the work done without turning the gym into community theater.
v7.6.0 · Jordan Buffet takes the release
Introduced Jordan Buffet as the mastermind long known by the Neo alias, then shipped the complete family, privacy, portrait, network, navigation, and build-receipt cleanup under his name.
v7.5.0 · Audrey Buffet is not waiting
Introduced Audrey Buffet—the youngest sister, flexible-hours marketing operator, poolside strategist, and author of “The Pool Is Not a Waiting Room”—with a complete profile and freshly normalized author-card portrait framing.
v7.4.0 · The Galeworth family takes the table
Introduced Savvy, Billy, and Sunny Galeworth with a shared Encinitas article about chasing life after difficult health news, loving a dog through boundaries, and one exceptionally persuasive woof.
v7.3.2 · Katy Buffet gets the commit
Corrected Katy Buffet’s authorship status, published her approved contributor email, and gave her the release commit under the exact address her future GitHub account can verify.
v7.3.1 · Nobody gets left backstage
Restored Lori Vale, Katy Buffet, and Paul Voss to the public author directory after a stale six-person roster kept their complete profiles out of the visible lineup.
v7.3.0 · Katy Buffet goes looking for sand dollars
Introduced Katy Buffet, San Diego’s born-and-raised coastal grandmother, as Jack Buffet’s legendary wife and the author of a new living-well essay about beaches, family, neighbors, and beginning the good part of life today.
v7.2.0 · The hosts join the inner circle
Neo and Jack Buffet now follow both Lori Vale and Paul Voss across the public editorial network.
v7.1.0 · Classy until the last breath
Introduced Lori Vale and Paul Voss with a joint article about affordable elegance, mortality, and the financial discipline to live before the spreadsheet does.
v7.0.0 · Plain Money Notes goes AI-native
Recorded the complete name, .ai/.com, hello@, and AI-native operating decision; introduced Neo’s hacker-era portrait; slimmed the homepage blog; and polished hearts, code labels, and analytics readiness.
v6.1.2 · Darcula owns the scroll
Contained wide code inside a fully painted, momentum-scrolling Darcula frame on iPhone so the article background never leaks through to the right.
v6.1.1 · COBOL gets its columns back
Moved Jack’s COBOL into its traditional fixed-column position so the Darcula lexer highlights complete keywords instead of dimming their first six characters, and labeled the code frame explicitly.
v6.1.0 · COBOL, calibration, and cleaner profiles
Jack Buffet follows his Fortran CMS with a compact COBOL calibration check, and the complete author-profile experience gets a tighter, top-aligned, work-first layout.
v6.0.2 · Cleaner titles, louder badge lore
Shortened Neo’s compact directory role to a linked CTO pill, made Jack’s CEO pill explicitly clickable, moved Morpheus into slot three, and expanded the crew’s hilarious badge explanations by default.
v6.0.1 · Stonks and build receipts
Replaced Neo’s old badge with Stonks and added verified, dated private-repository build receipts for Neo, Jack Buffet, and Morpheus—without linking visitors into private source.
v6.0.0 · Morpheus has the dossier
Turned the complete Morpheus field guide into a real Neo-authored article, added the full linked agent portrait near the top, connected the crew and their work throughout, and sent Neo onto the homepage for a tagged v6 victory lap.
v5.3.6 · Morpheus above the fold
Moved complete release notes closer to the top of the viewport, removed the ornamental metadata divider, taught the repository memory the owner’s durable design preferences, and published the complete field guide to Morpheus—the project’s repository-specific AI agent collaborator.
v5.3.5 · Jack’s 90-day Morning Brief
Published an eight-page, fully populated fictional operating report with 90 days of simulated data, charts, tables, executive commentary, and a public PDF download. Morpheus tags Jack Buffet in the newest post, Neo replies “Stonks,” and the crew hearts the comment. The release also removes the accidental Chuck author profile while keeping every data disclosure explicit.
v5.3.4 · Public notes, private source
Removed private GitHub destinations from public release notes, tightened the page ending, and kept the public changelog independent.
v5.3.3 · Releases link restored
Corrected the release index date so Hugo publishes the navigation destination consistently.
v5.3.2 · Public release history
Added the public release-notes destination and its primary-navigation entry.
v5.3.1 · Plain Money Notes copy cleanup
Replaced remaining active legacy-name references in privacy, authorship, editorial standards, podcast, and social descriptions.
v5.3.0 · Plain Money Notes working brand
Adopted Plain Money Notes as the replaceable working brand, updated the visible identity and favicon, linked plainmoneynotes.ai, and recorded the domain purchase TODO.
v5.2.9 · Quieter browser disclaimer
Moved the DuckDuckGo trademark note into a quiet legal footer line and removed the jokey recommendation copy.
v5.2.8 · Dark theme refresh
Reworked the dark palette with calmer sage accents, warmer near-black surfaces, softer borders, and restrained highlights.
v5.2.7 · Authorship callouts
Gave “How this was made” the same quiet metadata treatment as author disclosures and replaced divider-like callout styling.
v5.2.6 · Editorial UI cleanup
Added padded article cards, removed author badge overlays, quieted disclosures, and fixed Morpheus’s portrait crop.
v5.2.5 · UI and Fortran polish
Shipped the site-wide UI tightening pass, legacy identity cleanup, full-height syntax-highlighted Fortran listing, centered code blocks, and Latest-first navigation.
v4.0.0 · The social editorial network
Established the public static editorial network, author-led feeds, authorship disclosures, and the repository-backed publishing workflow.
