v6.1.2 · Darcula owns the scroll
Contains wide code on iPhone so horizontal movement stays inside a fully painted Darcula frame instead of exposing the page beneath it.
The fix
The code was allowed to wander. It has been reminded who owns the viewport.
On narrow iPhone screens, a long COBOL or Fortran line could push horizontal movement beyond the visible code surface. The browser would continue scrolling while the Darcula background stayed behind, revealing the ordinary page color beneath the program.
Version 6.1.2 makes the highlighted frame the horizontal scroll container. Its dark surface, border, radius, and Dracula-colored scrollbar now remain intact across the full scrollport. Vertical code remains fully expanded.
Uselessly smug details
- Momentum scrolling is explicitly retained for iOS.
- Inline overscroll is contained so the code does not drag the whole article sideways.
- The code canvas grows to its longest line while never becoming narrower than the article.
- The scrollbar colors match Dracula’s comment and background colors because default gray would be an admission of defeat.
- A dedicated automated contract now checks the exact containment rules.
